Břeclav Castle

The castle stands on the site of the original castle of Břetislav I, who gave the region its name: Břeclav.

As early as the 11th century, Bretislaus I built a castle here, which was later rebuilt in the 16th century by the Zierotins family in the Renaissance style. The Liechtensteins later transformed it into a romantic artificial ruin.

For now, you can visit the castle tower viewpoint, offering a panoramic view of Břeclav and its surroundings.
