The building designed by artist Ludvík Kolek dominates the main square of Břeclav.
The original baroque church on today’s T. G. Masaryk Square was destroyed during World War II air raids. The new church was built only in the mid-1990s with significant help from local believers.
Some locals say the new church “stole” the town’s only larger square, others admire it.
